Karnebogen – A reliable constant for over 90 years.

1923

The first logo

1923

Founding of the company “Wilhelm Karnebogen” by Wilhelm and his wife Wilhelmine Karnebogen as a forge in Breddershaus (Meinerzhagen-Valbert today).
In addition to the shoeing of horses, picks and shovels were manufactured.

1937

Relocation to Vollme (Kiespe today) due to the acquisition of the premises of the company Voswinkel
directly next to the B54 with the acquisition of hydroelectric power (Volme).

1948

Production changeover to points and small, carbide-tipped conical crowns as well as cutting devices for mining.

1960

Acquisition of the company Karnebogen by son Richard Karnebogen.
Revised logo top left.

1960

Start of production of large-hole drill bits for the stone and quarrying industry. Initially only with carbide cutting edges, then pin drill bits.

The so-called “KARBO-HEDGEHOG” was born!

1960

This later resulted in the “KARBO high-speed drill bit”. Karbo drill bits still have this unique shape today. R. Karnebogen received numerous patents at home and abroad for this drill bit shape.
The drill bits are used for drilling blast holes in rock and today also for geothermal drilling.
Although well-known companies are copying this high-speed drill bit today, the Karbo quality has never been attained.

1972

Beginning of the production of stockers, corrugators and blasting irons for processing kerbs from granite blocks.

1980

Founding of today’s Karnebogen GmbH by Richard Karnebogen
daughter Petra Karnebogen-Fuchs and son-in-law Günter Fuchs.

1980

Through numerous tests, along with the constant expansion of the product range and close cooperation with customers, Karnebogen is now able to offer the optimal hammer drill and the right drill bit for every type of rock.

1999

With its own energy source from hydropower due to a large-scale restoration measure
1999, Karnebogen today is making a major contribution to environmental protection.
The electricity produced is used directly during working hours, on Sundays and public holidays the energy is fed directly into the domestic power grid and made available to the general public.

2001

Due to the steady growth and progressive modernisation, a new, large office wing had to be built.

2009

After previously working in the company, the brother and sister Melina and Mark Fuchs join the limited company as managing directors.

2014

New logo for Karnebogen GmbH.

2014

Purchase of a honing machine for honing drill holes.

2019

Purchase of a new deep drilling machine.

2021

Break in production due to the flood in July.

2022

Purchase of a new honing machine.
